Foxconn to Acquire Premier for NT$28.2 Billion

On June 20 Taiwanese Foxconn announced that it will wholly acquire Premier, a Taiwanese DSC (Digital Still Camera) maker, for about NT$28.2 billion, aiming to expand its presence in the DSC and CCM (Compact Camera Module) markets. Through the acquisition, Foxconn will take over Premier's current orders, and Premier's technologies in various areas, including CCM and optical components. The deal is expected to be finalized by December 2006.
